It was by accident that I became a homeschooler, but purely intentional that my passion remains my purpose. For as long as I have been a teacher, whether as a public school teacher (for 16 years) or a home school teacher (for 3), I have never once felt as if I had a job… or even a career. What this really is, quite simply, is my passion. Can you imagine? Everyday I get to share what I love – words, irony, symbolism, foreshadowing moments and fabulous flashbacks, metaphors, imagery, and so much more. I find so much beauty through the words of authors. They are all my heroes. I don’t know how they manage to pull me in, keep me yearning for more, weeping for and with their characters. But it happens every time I open a book. Every time. I find beauty in words.. in phrases… in passages… in chapters… in stories. Life is story. We all have one and we all have the ability to connect to others’ stories. For it is within stories, we discover ourselves. We find empathy. We gather confidence and courage. We learn. We pass on. That’s why I am here. To find the beauty in a story and do my best to pass that along. Thanks for stopping by. Don’t be a stranger. Come often and hear my stories. Tell me yours. It’s the sharing that makes a difference.
